Biography
Bobby Wilson, a native of Waco, Texas, began his golfing
career at the age of 10. A world champion top-ranked long
driver for a quarter century, He is the 2006 Long Drivers
of America (LDA) Texas Shootout champion in the senior
division. In August of 2005, Wilson and partner, Jason
Zuback, won the 2005 Nokia Champions Challenge against
players such as Johnny Miller, Jack Nicklaus, Jim Furyk,
and Kevin Stadler. Wilson was also the 2004 RE/MAX World Long Drive Senior Champion. Since 2002, he has been the winner of 11 RE/MAX tour titles - the highest number in any division. Wilson is also the all-time leading money-winner on the LDA Tour.
For 25 years, Wilson has held long-drive clinics and
exhibitions for several major corporations. Wilson has a
23-year relationship with IBM, an 18-year relationship with
Nortel, and a 6-year relationship with Lexmark International
among many others. Wilson has made several international
appearances, and continually volunteers his time and talent
to several charities including the American Cancer Society,
the Children’s Miracle Network, the Ronald McDonald House,
the Children’s Home of Lubbock and the March of Dimes.
Wilson has no shortage of amusing golf stories, and he fires
them off one after another during his high-impact power
shows. An accomplished teacher as well, Wilson adds an
instruction component to his exhibitions. He empowers his
audiences by getting them to hit golf balls harder and farther
than they ever have before. |
